A recent study by WalletHub looked at 2019’s best real estate markets across the United States. The compared 300 cities of varying size: large cities with more than 300,000 residents; medium cities with 150,000 to 300,000 residents; and small cities with fewer than 150,000 residents. Next, they compared various factors using a point system related to two factors: The Real Estate Market and Affordability and Economic Development.
Austin came in ranked #1 among large cities, Boise, ID was #1 among midsize cities, and Denton, TX was #1 among small cities. Austin ranked #12 overall as the best city in the United States to buy a house.
